The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team who brought you Hamilton. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the incident in which Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp were the primary characters in the very first impeachment proceeding in America. Ashford appeared for two seasons in the CBS popular comedy B Positive. She also appeared in the popular series developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, that starred famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Not a stranger to Broadway Ashford is the recipient of the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. Other Broadway roles includes Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the lead role in Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she received another Tony Award nomination. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and now divides her life between Los Angeles, and New York.
